My close family is made up of three people: my mum, my dad and my younger sister.
My mum is called Rachel. She is basically obsessed with saxophones – she plays it in her work’s ‘rock’ band, and enjoys running.
My dad’s name is Henry, and he enjoys mountain biking and running.
Finally, my sister is called Rose, and is probably the most annoying person on the planet. More of a description needed? I think not.
My ‘close-extended’ family is made up of *counts on fingers* thirteen people, scattered around the globe (well, two countries). Four of them live in New Zealand, and the other ten all live in Britain (I think). I’ll start off by ‘introducing’ my mum’s side of the family.
First, there’s my Nan, Sue. She likes cats, enjoys race walking, and used to go to/goes to athletics (she did shot-put, discus and race walking), but I don’t think she does anymore.
Next, there’s my uncle Stephen. He’s a builder, he roasts coffee on Saturday mornings, and is really good at baking.
Then there’s my aunt Nadia. She enjoys running, and is an amazing cook.
Finally, there’s my 7 (I think) year old cousin, Ella. She enjoys swimming, using her iPad, and spending time with her dog, Chilli.
Now, my dad’s side of the family, who (I think) all live in Britain. I don’t spend nearly as much time with them as I do with my mum’s side, therefore meaning I don’t know them quite as well. I won’t put in things that they like, because quite honestly I don’t know what they like.
First there’s my Granny, Anne.
Then, there’s my Grandpa Tom,
Then, there’s Ricky, my uncle,
Next there’s Kate and Ellie, two of my cousins
Then, there’s Susie and Sue, my aunts,
And lastly, there’s Abi and Becca, my other two cousins.
Now, I’m going to introduce my family (and extended)’s pets.
First off, there’s Jasper – my 1 year, 9 month old dog
Then there’s Bhaji and Poppadom, who are tortoishell and ginger respectively. They’re both 10.
Next is Charli, my Nan’s cat. I’m pretty sure that he’s a Russian Blue.
Then there’s Chilli; Stephen, Nadia and Ella’s 11-year-old dachsund, and Olive and Saffron, their (rather old) cats.
And then there’s Bracken and Barley, my other aunts’ labradors, and Willow and Teasel, their cats. One of which (I think it’s Willow) who has only three legs.
Finally, there’s Sam and Tig – my uncle Ricky’s farm dogs, and Saba and Pumpkin, his cats. Who have probably currently each got a litter of kittens.
Congratulations, if you made it through this whole post.
It’s ‘ever so slightly’ longer than I had anticipated, but oh well.
Thanks for reading
